A CSIO*** (Concours de Saut International Officiel) is a CSI*** with a FEI Nations CupTM. This means that on one day (at the Réiser Päerdsdeeg on Friday the 30th of June 2017) 13 Nations will compete against each other in teams of four. Luxembourg welcomes the Nations of the second division and will present a team for the first time in the country.
Every rider and horse of a team jumps the first round, and the worst score from each nation is dropped. The best 8 Nations can compete in the second round. The team with the lowest score of faults wins.
On Sunday afternoon the 2nd of July, the Grand Prix 3* will be a class with 1.50m obstacles, where all the qualified riders from the days before can compete against each other individually. All the riders and horses without penalties qualify for the jump-off. The jump-off course is shorter and different to that of the first round and is against the clock.
The Grand Prix 1* is the final of the less higher circuit but with the same concept as the GP 3*. It will be a 1.35m class with jump-off.
